KUALA LUMPUR, April 16 — Over 100 assets from the aerospace and maritime industries will be featured at the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition 2023 (Lima’23) next month.
Alpine Integrated Solution Sdn Bhd (Alpine) executive director Muhammad Aqlan Pacleb said some 35 to 40 maritime assets would also be featured for visitors to feast their eyes on.
“There will also be four to five air shows involving the Russian Sukhoi, August 1st (China), Black Eagles (Korea) and The Jupiter Aerobatic (Indonesia), which is set to be the biggest aerobatic performance,” he said in an exclusive interview with Bernama.
Meanwhile, Alpine managing director Anita Jacobson said Lima’23 is expected to receive around 45,000 trade visitors and 250,000 public visitors.
“For the first three days, from May 23 to 25, the exhibition is only open to trade visitors. We provide opportunities for those who travel from abroad or within the country to meet with industry players to discuss matters related to their businesses.
“Lima’23 will open its doors to public visitors on the last two days (May 26 and 27),” she said.
Themed The Nexus of Asia’s Maritime and Aerospace Trade, Lima’23 is set to return with bigger shows this year after four-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The 16th edition of the event involves two main ministries, namely the Defence Ministry for the Maritime and Aerospace Defence Industry and the Transport Ministry for the Maritime and Aerospace Commercial Industry. — Bernama
