KUALA LUMPUR (April 28): Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd labelled postings on social media relating a purported ‘deal’ between the airports operator and another company as “misleading and false”.
“MAHB would also like to state that it does not comment, neither can it comment on any transactions that are still undergoing its robust structure and process of governance.
“Any claims made to the contrary is misleading and false. Related to this, MAHB will not hesitate to take any legal remedy(ies) and/or action(s) to protect itself and its reputation,” it said in a statement on Friday (April 28).
“MAHB would like to stress that as a public listed company and a GLC, it adheres to a very robust structure and process of governance,” it added.
MAHB said it is making the clarification after a series of postings surfaced on social media relating to a purported ‘deal’ between the group and another company.
Shares of MAHB were trading 13 sen or 1.8% lower at RM7.02 as at 4:43pm, giving the group a market capitalisation of RM11.65 billion.
