KUALA LUMPUR: Umno Youth is ready to seek an audience with the Sultan of Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah over the existence of an addendum order granting house arrest to jailed former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

Its chief Dr Muhamad Akmal Saleh did not rule out the possibility in the event the unity government failed to respond to the wing's request over the existence of the addendum order.

"We may seek an audience with Tuanku to check on the actual situation (related to the existence of the addendum order)," he told reporters after the winding-up session at the 2024 Umno General Assembly here tonight.

Dr Akmal hoped the unity government would respond to the request over the existence of the addendum order involving the former Umno president.

"If the addendum order exists, why has it yet to be implemented?

"If the addendum order did not exist... it couldn't be that our president is lying?" Dr Akmal asked.

He said Najib's full freedom will help boost support for the party from the people, especially among the younger generation.
