KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysia-China Cultural Exchange and Economic Trade Investment Forum 2024 is set to boost trade, cultural ties, and collaboration between Malaysia and China.

Organised by Forever GACC Sdn Bhd, the forum will take place on Oct 13, 2024, at Wisma Huazong in Seri Kembangan.

It will feature high-level discussions and networking opportunities, providing a platform for entrepreneurs to explore new business ventures and partnerships.

The event aims to foster collaboration between Malaysian and Chinese business leaders.

Malaysian entrepreneurs will have the chance to access the vast Chinese market, while their Chinese counterparts can explore Malaysia's burgeoning Halal market, serving as a gateway to other Muslim-majority markets within ASEAN.

The forum advisor, Datuk Irwan Shah Abdullah @ DJ Dave said that they plan to bring 200 to 300 entrepreneurs from China and Hong Kong to participate in the event.

Dewan Rakyat Deputy Speaker Datuk Ramli Md Nor, who officiated the forum, stated that it exemplifies the growing synergy between Malaysia and China.

"It provides a unique platform for entrepreneurs from both countries to engage in meaningful exchange and explore business opportunities and build partnerships that will benefit not only our economy but broaden the Asean region.

"I am particularly pleased to see a focus on promoting Muslim products in the Chinese market, a step that will strengthen our economic ties and open doors to new possibilities, cultural exchange," he said at the official launch today.

Ramli said the event goes beyond entertainment; it also aims to promote understanding, build connections, and celebrate cultural diversity.

In addition to the forum, Forever GACC will also host the Grand Asian Celebrity Charity Gala Night 2024 on October 13, 2024.

The evening will include a red carpet reception, cultural performances, and a charity dinner.

Proceeds from the event will support underprivileged communities, with notable guests and cultural ambassadors from across Asia expected to attend.

Irwan Shah said it is an opportunity to raise awareness of welfare among local entertainment industry and entertainment industries of China including Hong Kong and Taiwan while introducing their respective cultures.

Furthermore, on Oct 15, a business networking session and the Malaysia-China Cultural Exchange and Charity Performance are scheduled to be held in Melaka.
