KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Finance Minister Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun described a video uploaded in Malaysiakini as "edited" conversation.
"I do not recall the conversation because the recording of the conversation was edited.
"What I remember is that he offered to contribute to the party, and I responded that there was no need to do so.
"I have no knowledge of the RM300,000 that was allegedly handed over through my special officer," he said in a statement.
Masidi, who is also Gabungan Rakyat Sabah secretary-general, said he welcomed any investigation into these allegations by the relevant authorities.
He said he would fully cooperate with the investigating agencies.
Masidi is the latest Sabahan assemblyman implicated for allegedly receiving bribes related to mineral prospecting licences.
In the video, Masidi was seen to agree with the man that the licensing should be placed on "KIV" (Keep in View) as Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor and mining projects had become controversial.
