Whether its scrambled, over-easy, poached or just an add on to our favourite nasi lemak, as Malaysians, we love eggs and we consume tens to hundreds of thousands of it each and every day.

What if I tell you that selecting shares to own in Bursa Malaysia this year is very much alike taking a trip to the local supermarket to get some eggs? Similar to public listed companies' stocks, the eggs are catogerized into grades based on its nutrient quality, size, taste and texture.

Lets read a little!

I found out that there are certain percentages involved in the production of eggs. Suprisingly, it depends on the chicken's breed, food nutrition, poultry management, age, etc., the chickens may produce different grades of eggs in its lifetime.

OK. Now, lets focus on the three major grades. Grades A, B and C. How different are they?

Well, how are egg grades related to stocks?

By assuming the yellow yolk as business prospects and the egg white as company fundamentals, the grades will tell an entirely different story.

Always remember that whether its stocks or eggs, the choice varies according to each affordability and risk appetite. The most important part of investing is not to lose the capital. We are all here to make a small fortune which will enrich our lives or even offer early retirement for some.
