Following the rally in crude oil prices, coupled with the stronger Ringgit against the USD, the FBM KLCI extended its gains by 0.9% to close above the 1,700 psychological level. The lower liners – FBM Small Cap (+1.1%), FBM Fledging (+0.4%) and FBM Ace (+0.7%) also closed in the positive region, but the Technology sector (-0.7%) was the sole underperformer on the broader market. On the FBM KLCI, there are 21 advancers, 8 decliners and 1 traded unchanged. WTI Crude oil price stood at US$50.31.
