U.S. stockmarkets recorded its worst day since the Presidential election in November 2016 as the Dow (-0.6%) slipped below the 20,000 psychological level on concern over Presidents Donald Trump travel ban policy.

Profit taking activities amongst selective banking heavyweights sent the FBMKLCI to close 0.4% lower ahead of the Chinese New Year break. The immediate resistance level is located around the 1,700 level.

Crude palm oil prices fell for the third consecutive session on firmer Ringgit against the Greenback coupled with sluggish demand. The RM3,000 level will serve as the immediate support level.

Crude oil prices closed lower after US drilling activities increases. Crude oil prices might trend towards the US$55-US$60 levels.

Gold prices advanced on higher demand over safe haven assets due to uncertainty over U.S. economic policy. The US1,250 will serve as the immediate resistance level.
