The FBM KLCI (-0.1%) descended for the second-straight day, in-tandem with the bearish sentiment in the regional stockmarkets. Moving forward, the key-index could linger in between 1750 to 1780.

Crude Palm Oil: RM2,643 (+RM33, +1.26%)
Crude palm oil gained 1.3% on anticipation of slower recovery in crude oil production, ahead of the Ramadan festivals. Resistance will be pegged around RM2,900.

WTI Crude Oil: $49.07 (+$0.41, +0.84%)
Crude oil prices rose 0.8% after U.S. stockpiles declined for the sixth straight week, amid stronger refining activities. Near-term resistance is targeted at US$50.

Gold: $1,261.36 (+$24.12, +1.95%)
Gold outshone other riskier assets, as investors fled the equity markets in favor of safe-haven assets, amid the political turmoil in the United States.  Near-term resistance is envisaged around US$1290.
