Market breadth remained positive as advancers outnumbered the decliners on a ratio of 469-to-396 stocks. The energy sector (-1.0%), however, was downbeat on weakness from Petron Malaysia (-14.0 sen), Petra Energy (-4.0 sen) and Heng Yuan (-3.0 sen) as crude oil prices retreated from a three-day rebound.
