The FBM KLCI trended sharply higher as the key index recovered all its previous session losses after opposition leader, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has been granted an audience with Yang di-Pertuan Agong on next Tuesday to present statutory declarations in support of his bid to be prime minister. Market breadth turned negative as losers edged the gainers on a ratio of 503-to-469 stocks. The broader market was mostly upbeat with the exception of technology (-0.03%) sector on weakness from MI Technovation (-10.0 sen), GHL Systems (-5.0 sen) and UWC (-5.0 sen).
