FBM KLCI: 1,547.65 pts (+0.83pts, +0.05%)

The FBM KLCI (+0.1%) posted marginal gains on the back of final hour buying support into selected key index heayweights; CIMB and PCHEM led the charge. Market breadth, however was negative as the losers thumped the gainers by 580-to-398 stocks. The transportation and logistics sector (+2.2%) rallied in tandem with the surge in Baltic Exchange Dry Index as well as HARBOUR's solid result overnight; the sector was boosted by MMCCORP (+14.0 sen), WPRTS (+10.0 sen), and HARBOUR (+30.0 sen). Meanwhile, profit taking activities emerged in the energy sector (-1.1%) following the pullback of crude oil price below USD80.
