FBM KLCI: 1,518.85 pts (-1.89pts, -0.12%)

The FBM KLCI (-0.1%) extended losses for the third straight session as investors stayed cautious while awaiting Malaysia’s 3Q GDP data scheduled to be released on Friday. Market breadth remained negative as the losers led the gainers by 499-to-447 stocks. On the mostly negative broader market, the energy sector (-1.3%) underperformed with HIBISCS (-4.0 sen), YINSON (-5.0 sen), and VELESTO (-0.5 sen) taking the biggest hit after crude oil price declined. Meanwhile, bargain hunting activities emerged in the property sector (+0.6%).
