FBM KLCI: 1,483.45 pts (-18.29pts, -1.22%)
The FBM KLCI (-1.2%) plunged amid foreign outflow on the back of mounting concerns over Covid-19 Omicron variant, in line with the weaker performances of regional bourses as well as negative sentiment on Wall Street. Market breadth remained negative as the losers beat the gainers by 790-to-242 stocks. All 13 sub-indices were splashed in red, with the healthcare sector (-3.0%) being the worst performing sector due to continuous profit taking activities in TOPGLOV (-24.0 sen), HARTA (-9.0 sen) and IHH (-3.0 sen).
