FBM KLCI: 1,541.90 pts (-7.15pts, -0.46%)

The FBM KLCI (-0.5%) declined for another session depiste a solid performance on Wall Street overnight, as investors stayed on the sidelines in the absence of fresh catalyst. Market breadth, however was positive as the gainers trounced the losers on 524-to-383 stocks with small caps taking the lead. The utilities sector (+0.58%) gained traction, led by MALAKOF (+2.0 sen), GASMSIA (+5.0 sen), and YTLPOWR (+0.5 sen), while the energy sector (+0.57%) also outperformed. Meanwhile, selling pressure in the healthcare sector (-0.56%) persisted.
