FBM KLCI: 1,586.14 pts (+9.18pts, +0.58%)

The FBM KLCI (+0.6%) rebounded from the three-session losses in tandem with most regional bourses as investors were buying the dip especially in the banking and plantation heavyweights; the latter traded positively following the firm crude palm oil price. Market breadth turned positive as the gainers thumped the losers by 621-to-372 stocks. The technology sector (+4.16%) emerged as the biggest winner after the sector is deemed to be oversold after the recent selloff, lifted by gains in HONGSENG (+17.0 sen), MYEG (+5.0 sen) and D&O (+29.0 sen).
