FBM KLCI: 1,585.81 pts (-1.35pts, -0.09%)

The FBM KLCI (-0.09%) slid marginally lower after recouping morning session losses following the emergence of buying within plantation heavyweights as FCPO price surged above RM5,900 zone. Market breadth, however, remained positive as the gainers outnumbered the losers by a ratio of approximately 5-to-4. The broader market ended largely in the green, led by the plantation sector (+2.34%) as KLK (+72.0 sen), IOICORP (+12.0 sen), and SIMEPLT (+9.0 sen) gained traction. Meanwhile, the industrial products & services sector (-0.66%) was the biggest declining sector.
