FBM KLCI: 1,604.61 pts (-2.68pts, -0.17%)

The FBM KLCI (-0.17%) fell in tandem with the negative regional bourses following the mixed performances on Wall Street overnight, but still hovering above the 1,600 psychological level. Market breadth turned negative as the decliners led the advancers by 774-to-317 stocks. The technology sector (-4.80%) took the biggest hit, dragged by VITROX (-60.0 sen), GREATEC (-37.0 sen), and MPI (-220.0 sen), while plantation sector (+1.45%) was the sole winning sector on the broader market as investors cheered the firmer CPO price.
