FBM KLCI: 1,597.13 pts (-7.48pts, -0.47%)

The FBM KLCI (-0.47%) slid back below the key 1,600 level as the bearish sentiment spilt over from Wall Street overnight triggered selling pressure in most of the  heavyweights. Market breadth remained negative as the decliners outpaced the advancers by 578-to-340 stocks. The healthcare sector (-1.42%) underperformed the broader market as selling pressure persisted in TOPGLOV (-10.0 sen), IHH (-4.0 sen), and HARTA (-6.0 sen) amid declining daily Covid-19 cases in Malaysia, while the construction sector (+1.20%) outperformed.
