FBM KLCI: 1,538.80 pts (-17.13pts, -1.10%)

The FBM KLCI (-1.10%) slipped into the negative territory along with regional peers as early gains faded, tracking the overnight tumble on Wall Street as well as concerns over inflationary pressures. Market breadth was negative as the decliners beat the advancers by 874-to-209 stocks. The broader market succumbed to heavy selling pressure with all the 13 major sectorial indices painted in red; the technology sector (-4.44%) was under pressure, driven by HONGSENG (-29.0 sen), INARI (-13.0 sen), and DNEX (-8.0 sen).
