FBM KLCI: 1,549.41 pts (-5.50pts, -0.35%)

The FBM KLCI (-0.35%) traded slightly lower amid the global rout, snapping the three-session rally as worries over global inflation weighed on investors. Market breadth was negative as the decliners trounced the advancers by 692-to-272 stocks. On the broader market, most of the sectors ended red, with the energy sector (-2.15%) taking the biggest hit as selling pressure emerged amid lower crude oil price, dragged by SAPNRG (-1.0 sen), HIBISCS (-4.0 sen), and HENGYUAN (-22.0 sen). This was followed by the technology sector (-1.52%).
