The FBM KLCI (-1.33%) snapped a four-session winning streak and closed lower following an extended pullback on Wall Street overnight. Market breadth turned negative as the decliners thumped the advancers by 661-to-269 stocks. The broader market was painted in red with the plantation sector (-2.74%) taking the biggest hit, dragged by SIMEPLT (-24.0 sen), IOICORP (-12.0 sen), and KLK (-64.0 sen). Meanwhile, the slump in crude oil price weighed on the energy (-2.36%) sector.
