The FBM KLCI (-0.55%) extended its downtrend move as investors remained tepid in view of global economy slowdown under the interest rate hike upcycle environment. Market breadth remained negative as the decliners overpowered the advancers by 447-to-372 stocks. The broader market traded in a negative-biased mode as the industrial products & services sector (-0.82%) fell amid selling pressure in PMETAL (-12.0 sen), PCHEM (-11.0 sen), and HAPSENG (-6.0 sen). However, the technology sector (+0.62%) showed sign of rebound despite the negative sentiment on Wall Street.
