The FBM KLCI (-0.43%) surrendered earlier gains to close in the negative territory as selling pressure intensified amidst regional losses. Market breadth however, turned positive as the advancers outnumbered the decliners by 480-to-408 stocks. The technology sector (+2.08%) was the biggest advancing sector on the broader market as bargain hunting activities emerged in UNISEM (+26.0 sen) and MI (+39.0 sen) after strong-than-expected results, while MYEG gained 3.5 sen.
