The FBM KLCI (+0.39%) extended its gains as the key index climbed along with the regional markets on persisted bargain hunting activities in view of improved sentiment on Wall Street overnight. Market breadth remained positive as the advancers led the decliners by 497-to-377 stocks. The energy sector (+1.37%) rallied, led by DIALOG (+2.0 sen), HIBISCS (+4.5 sen), and DAYANG (+4.0 sen). Meanwhile, investors piled into the utilities sector (+1.17%) such as YTLPOWR (+4.0 sen), TENAGA (+5.0 sen), and PETGAS (+10.0 sen).
