The FBM KLCI (-0.47%) ended lower due to profit taking activities as investors traded cautiously ahead of the 2-day FOMC meeting, as well as after digesting China's slower manufacturing data suggesting sluggish economic activities. Market breadth was negative with losers led gainers by 562-to-319 stocks. On the broader market, the Utilities Sector (+3.26%) ended strongly, led by buying support in YTLPOWR (+7.0 sen), YTL (+2.0 sen) and RANHILL (+15.5 sen). Meanwhile, the Industrial Products & Services sector ended lower by 1.39% due to selling interest within PCHEM (-20.0 sen) and PMETAL (-10.0 sen).
