The FBM KLCI (-0.39%) ended lower in line with the regional markets' performance due to continued profit taking activities despite the recent rally from Wall Street overnight. Market breadth, however was positive with losers lagged gainers by 490-to-412 stocks. On the broader market, the Utilities sector (+2.50%) ended higher led by buying support in PBA (+30.0 sen) and MALAKOF (+1.5 sen). Meanwhile, the Energy sector fell 0.68% following the selling pressure in MHB (-4.0 sen) and HIBISCS (-5.0 sen), the former reported a second consecutive quarterly loss.
