FBM KLCI: 1,454.43 pts (+6.39pts, +0.44%)

The FBM KLCI (+0.57%) ended higher despite the mixed regional markets, as investors gained confidence after the overnight Wall Street rally, after PPI came in within expectations and the dovish Fed comments on interest rates direction. Market breadth was positive with gainers led losers by 566-to-353 stocks. On the broader market, the Healthcare sector (+3.52%) closed highest thanks to buying support in HARTA (+23.0 sen) and IHH (+5.0 sen) in view of the rising Covid-19 cases. Meanwhile, the Energy sector was the 2nd top gainer, gaining by 1.89% following the buying pressure in DIALOG (+2.0 sen) and VELESTO (+1.0 sen).
