FBM KLCI: 1,600.67 pts (-0.55pts, -0.03%)

The FBM KLCI (-0.03%) ended flat, despite the positive regional markets, as the gains in banking heavyweights was offset by losses in industrial and consumer products heavyweights. Local investors has been shifting attention towards the small and mid cap stocks for now. Market breadth was however positive with gainers outpaced losers at 601-to-538 stocks. On the broader market, the Healthcare sector (+1.71%) was the leading sector on the back of buying support in TOPGLOV (+3.5 sen) and HARTA (+11.0 sen), while the Utilities sector (-0.60%) declined with PETGAS falling 20.0 sen.
