The FBM KLCI (-0.43%) ended lower as the index was dragged by selling pressure in selected banking heavyweights, in line with the mxied performance of the regional markets as investors traded cautiously amid the lack of clear positive catalysts. Meanwhile, market breadth was negative as losers led gainers at 599-to-547 stocks. On the broader market, the Telco & Media sector (+1.26%) was the best performing sector on the back of buying interest in CDB (+2.0 sen) and ASTRO (+2.0 sen). Meanwhile, the Energy sector (-1.50%) was the worst decliner.
