Above picture shows Mr. Wong telling Mr. Kang how his Share Scripts were stolen in an Iron Safe.
Hi guys,
Last week I heard the above conversations between 2 of my Johor Buddies.
Mr. Wong on the left told Mr. Kang that he lost his Share Scripts kept in an Iron Safe at home. As a result he could not do anything as he spent over 9 months tracking his lost scripts and applying for new replacement scripts.
Lo! & Behold! After almost 1 year Mr. Wong finally got his new share scripts. And it was a surprise windfall as his shares have all gone up in price - He made over Rm1 million profit!
If not for this "forced" keeping of his shares longer term he would have made much less as he used to take small profits after playing T + 7 in the GoGo years before the Asian Financial Crisis.
And this was what Mr. Kang shared.
Sometime in year 1980 he read that Northam Court (an apartment about 18 storey tall) tilted in Penang. As a result the building was demolished floor by floor.
It was very bad news for UEM then (United Engineers) now taken private. Its share price crashed & crashed to a low of 92 sen.
So Mr. Kang & his friend bought UEM at 92 sen on bad news.
Then UEM share price rebounded Rm3.00 & Mr. Kang happily sold off his UEM shares for a nice 200% profit. But Mr. Kang was dismayed for his friend who lost his UEM share scripts. And so he couldn't sell. Frantically he applied for replacement of his lost UEM share scripts. It took him quite a long while before he got his new replacement scripts .
By then to Kang's friend got a big surprise - UEM share price skyrocketed to Rm9.20!
It was a very nice 900% windfall for him.
So what is the morale of the lesson?
Investing longer term by default made them very rich.
If only we have the tenacity to hold on to value growth shares tightly for longer term

Calvin's View on MFCB
MFCB is a good stock for long term. The sudden spurt yesterday was caused by PublicInvest's bullish Target Price of RM3.85.
Will MFCB go to RM3.85? Calvin think it is highly possible. It takes time only.
However, it has been chased up suddenly by the Market. Calvin has been telling people to buy MFCB when it ranges between RM2.22 to RM2.27 for a long time. Of course Calvin's voice fell on deaf ears. PublicInvest is more authoritative. So they followed.
MFCB later issued bonus issue. Today MFCB is up a nice 100%
WAHAHA!
All (more than 50%) Calvin's stock picks are proven to hit jack pot after jackpot
YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
Now DRB C30 already hit more than 100% Jackpot!!!
Not too late to buy as DRB expected to cross Rm2.00 anytime now.

Stockraider is crowned as the new Holland King mah. His investment in Evergreen made himself stuck big time there. Where got he make money? Lose money more likely lol.
Calvintan, Johor properties collapsing. ForrestCity also no china chinese support loh. Just the maintenance fees also no one paying to maintain the assets...making it a ghost city with incomplete infra. It's the worst kind.

It is probable that Calvin has many stocks in his portfolio which he has to eventually dispose off at higher than his cost prices.
It is remarkable that he has so many of these stocks to shout off everytime these stock prices went up a bit.
He should know that in the short term, the stock prices of stocks can go up 50% and drop its equivalent 1/3rd.
The market price volatility of some stocks can be huge indeed, and it has little to do with Calvin's cleverness.
Perhaps, he mistakenly attribute these swings to his ability, intelligence and smartness.
No comments on raider, other than for those who do not know him well, your time is better employed elsewhere.

Calvin doesnt know what is fooled by randomness. he is too old to bend his mind. instead of telling us his overall portfolio performance he continue to sing around his individual stocks performance without disclosing the non performing picks. what a shame.
