EU wanted to phase out Palm oil?
Now they are SUFFERING THE CONSEQUENCES OF VERY VERY HIGH CANOLA OIL PRICES

PALM OIL BROKE ITS WORLD RECORD PRICE OF RM4,000 TO REACH RM5,000 OR UP BY ANOTHER 25%
CANOLA BROKE ITS WORLD RECORD USD600 TO REACH USD1,000 (UP A WHOPPING 66% ABOVE PAST WORLD RECORD TO UNBELIEVABLE NEW WORLD RECORD)
SO EU WILL SUFFER FROM VERY HIGH INFLATION BY REJECTING PALM OIL FOR THE VERY EXPENSIVE CANOLA OIL
ANY OTHER ALTERNATIVE?
OLIVE OIL WHICH IS EVEN MORE EXPENSIVE THAN CANOLA OIL
WHAT IS THE REPERCUSSION ON EU?

1. No glove or face mask for one month ?
Might or might not die but better wear a face mask

Canola oil is slightly different from rapeseed oil. Canola and rapeseed oil has nothing to do with palm oil. Both are not extracted from palm oil. Pls dont mislead..

canola is derived from rapeseed oil
in Belgium they use both canola and rapeseed oil as the same
of course they are Not the same as palm oil but it's competitors

Eu promote rapeseed oil and discriminate against palm oil for commercial reason
palm oil is much cheaper to produce and not inferior to rapeseed oil as palm oil has a higher boiling point which is better for frying food

No. According to Mr. Shane, Assist Manager of IjmPlant it was not the Palm oil companies that caused deforestration
It was the lumber companies which precede oil palm companies who cut down the forest
Oil palm planting only started later
And both Malaysia & Indonesia have stopped new license for conversion of forest to palm oil
So cannot use past example
What about USA killing off Red Indians to plant their crops?
What about past ESG of USA importing Negro slaves from Africa?

poor countries would not be able to afford expensive oil such as olive oil, sunflower oil, canola oil, etc for daily cooking and food processing. That's y palm oil are still mostly used by countries such as India, Pakistan, SEA countries. China is also using lot of palm oil because they not supporting EU on their expensive oil though China still import those oil from EU as part of their trades and to serve the wealthier citizen. In fact EU also used lot of palm oil for food processing. Not direct sell to their citizen in the retails but in food processing industry.

Goh,you discredit palm oil without knowing the full facts like a parrot mimicking the wise white protectionist. What a shame. Take some time to read up about the nutritional values of palm oil and understanding how sustainable oil palm will help against Global warming. Try to broaden your knowledge and outlook in life.
