Mr. Ong is a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), a Member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountant (MIA), a Member of the Malaysian Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (MAICSA) and a Fellow Member of the Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia (CTIM). 

He was a Senior Advisor of Tax at BDO in Malaysia's Northern Practice Office. He has more than 40 years of collective experience in taxation with the Malaysia Inland Revenue Board (MIRB), a Big 5 tax practice and a mid-sized firm. He has extensive tax experience in cross border transactions, corporate restructuring, initial Public Offerings (IPOs), representing tax payers in the area of tax audits and in criminal and civil tax investigation work.
