Dato' Sri Dr. Shahril Bin Mokhtar began his career in 1995 at Maybank Berhad in the Human Resource Department. He later joined PwC Malaysia in 1999 as a Manager in its Human Capital Centre, followed by roles at British American Tobacco (M) Berhad and Penerbangan Malaysia Berhad as a Senior Manager and General Manager, respectively. In 2006, he joined Rangkaian Pengangkutan Integrasi Deras (RAPIDKL) Sdn Bhd as its General Manager of Corporate Planning. In 2009, he served as an Advisor in the Economic Planning Unit of the Prime Minister's Department, contributing to the creation of the Suruhanjaya Pengangkutan Awam Darat (SPAD). By 2010, he was appointed as SPAD's Chief Operating Officer, spearheading transportation sector reforms. Later that year, he joined Prasarana Malaysia Berhad as Group Managing Director, implementing turnaround strategies and overseeing key transportation projects. In 2015, he became CEO of Mass Rapid Transit Corporation Sdn Bhd, managing the MRT Line 1 and Line 2 developments. In 2018, Dato' Sri Shahril transitioned to CSH Alliance Berhad as Managing Director, overseeing property and technology ventures. In 2020, he became Managing Director of Sungai Kelang Expressway Sdn Bhd, a highway concessionaire, until September 2023. In October 2023, he was appointed as Group Managing Director of Green Packet Berhad and retired in September 2024. He was appointed as Chairman of West River Berhad in April 2024 and has been an Independent Director at Taghill Holdings Berhad since June 2021. Additionally, he holds directorships in several other private limited companies. Beyond corporate roles, he has chaired UiTM Holdings Sdn Bhd and UiTM Private Healthcare Sdn Bhd since November 2021. He is also actively involved in sports leadership, serving key roles in the Football Association of Malaysia and the Football Association of Selangor, focusing on management, sponsorship development, and supporting Malaysia's national Under-23 football team.
