Datuk Ir. Hj. Ismail Bin Md.Salleh has 36 years of working experience in the government sector and was principally responsible for planning, construction, operation and monitoring of all privatised highways such as North-South Expressway, Penang Bridge and KL-Karak Highway. He was the Director General of Malaysian Highway Authority from 2009 until June 2018. Datuk Ir. Hj. Ismail is a registered Professional Engineer with Board of Engineers Malaysia, Fellow with Institution of Engineers Malaysia, Council Member of Road Engineering Asia and Australasia, Deputy President of Road of Engineering of Malaysia, President of Intelligent Transport System Association of Malaysia and Chairman of the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (Malaysia Branch).
