Working Experience
Miss Cheryl Chang Hui Yuins career spans 18 years in the fields of audit and tax. She is currently a Partner of Zubir Chang & Co. PLT, an audit firm she incorporated in 2018. Prior to incorporating Zubir Chang & Co. PLT, she spent over a decade in the assurance and financial services industry as an auditor with Ernst & Young in the Australian and Singaporean offices, and subsequently with Chang Kong Foo & Co. PLT. She was responsible for setting up and managing a branch office of Chang Kong Foo & Co. PLT in Selangor. She has developed extensive experience in the audit of both listed and unlisted corporations in Malaysia, Singapore and Australia. Her audit experience spans different financial reporting frameworks such as IFRS, SFRS, MFRS and MPERS. She has also taught accounting subjects at the tertiary education level. She also performed accounting research work in the University of Queensland in Australia in 2005 and 2006. In 2009, her research paper on the markets perception of deferred tax accruals was published in the Accounting and Finance Journal of Accounting and Finance Association of Australia and New Zealand. In 2013, she commenced her career and specialisation in tax consulting with RTC Consulting Sdn Bhd, a licensed boutique tax practice specialising in tax compliance and advisory services for property developers and construction companies. She is now the Tax Director at RTC Consulting Sdn Bhd, with the responsibility of managing the tax advisory function. This involves handling appeals for tax audits, conducting negotiations for tax investigations, performing preliminary tax assessment, reviewing agreements, preparing transfer pricing documentation and project managing various tax advisory and planning engagements. She also conducts seminars and workshops for the public and tailored training sessions for corporations on the subject of Malaysian taxation.
