Datuk Shamrat worked in AFFINBANK Corporate HQ in the Marketing & Retail Banking Department. He was appointed General Manager, South East Asian Operations of an I.T. company in K.L. and also for a short period after that as General Manager of a Security Systems company. Datuk Shamrat joined a HR and Training Company as Marketing/International Relations Director where he eventually served as Executive Director. Datuk Shamrat is the founding director and currently Managing Director of S & S Quest Resources Sdn Bhd (formed 2010) a G7, Bumiputera civil construction and management consulting company and is a Director/investor in multiple other private listed entities in the fields of Consulting, IT, Rail Infra and F&B among others.
