The EGM agenda is just to approve issuance of bonus shares. Nothing too complicated abt it. The outcome is either approved or not approved. Almost certain it w b approved as it will be extremely foolish to vote against d agenda.

We hv now moved into April whereby d soft launch of d Komtar project is imminent in d horizon. Will this be d beginning of some exciting times for OWG? Hehehe... @8wpwtmt8, it's actually not true on wat u mentioned abt zero contribution from Komtar. In fact, the F&B biz on 59Sixty is already ready and operational now. Visitors can dine and enjoy lunches and dinners there already. It is just the indoor theme attractions tht r not quite ready as yet.

@martinbartesque, u w be very surprised tht there r many ppl who can still afford to go on local holidays and spend quite a substantial amount of money on f&b even during weak economic times. The fact is tht, ppl still need to eat & drink regardless of good or weak economic times. If you observe d biz of restaurants serving quality foods, I dun see any lesser number of ppl going out to eat/drink there. Anyway, it is definitely yr prerogative to wait and see b4 putting yr money in any stock. All d best...

However If u r not, then u shud not be too bothered by any price volatility, be it rising or falling. Well, I'm obviously happy abt it. As a medium-to-long term investor, we shud be targeting for d 20th Century Fox launching in Genting.

The upcoming bonus issue exercise w b Karex's third (3rd) thus far since it went IPO in Dec 2013. And yet time and time again, ppl are bringing up d same topic of concern which has been discussed before i.e. EPS dilution, share price adjustment, etc. All you ppl shud be discussing if Karex's growth plans are intact or otherwise instead of asking those same boring questions.

@8wpwtmt8, they didn't say which attractions w be ready in Apr but just said a few only. For those who bought d special pass at Matta Fair, they w b invited to d grand opening in Jun/Jul to get a feel of all d attractions. If u want to get some great deals, do hurry to Matta Fair to get them.

Soft opening in Apr where some attractions will be up and running. 59Sixty fine dining restaurant is already operational. The grand opening is expected in July where all attractions will be operational.

If I remember correctly when I visited Disneyland, Anaheim and Cedar Point, Ohio way back in 2003, the entry pass costs USD150/pax at each location. Also, try comparing the cost of visiting Universal Studio in S'pore. Holiday trips are times when u need to spend $$$. The cheapest holiday I can think of is to stay at home and watch TV :-)

I'm with Karex for the long haul since its early IPO days. While I did not apply for its IPO then, I just stumbled upon it by chance. On tht listing day, I had two choices - Karex and Barakah. I chose Karex and everything was history. Though I did not see any wild fluctuations in Karex until late-Jan to early-Feb tis year where Karex dived down by RM1.20, tht was the only time I sold out. I hv since accumulated back to my previous holding.

Kah Fai, FYI, I didn't sell my holding but accumulated more for d bonus allotment...

Seems like most ppl r selling Karex of late based mostly on strengthening of the MYR. In my opinion, tis is really overdone despite d good news of a 1 for 2 bonus issue. These ppl who r selling r not reading the qtrly accounts close enuf. Karex management is wise enuf to anticipate such currency fluctuations by hedging its USD revenue against the expected MYR appreciation to mitigate such risk. Its profitability shud be intact given its expansion plans r already in placed. If you r truly a medium to long-term investor, u ought not to be disturbed by all these noises. Unless u r a mkt speculator, then I hv no words of advise for u.

Tis stock calls for extreme patience. Remember wat happened when it went IPO? For a month or so, everyone said its a dead duck as most IPOs do not behave like how OWG did. When it does move, IT WILL REALLY MOVE LIKE NOBODY'S BIZ!!!
