@bsngpg, watever I know concerning Karex be it favourable or not, I w not hesitate to share it here. If u see my historical comments here, I do not hv a long list of different stocks to comment abt as I hv identified only a few and stayed w it on a longer investment horizon. Generally speaking, I oso hope to use tis forum to educate/advise newbies to stock investment not to take shortcuts and hoping to make fast bucks overnite. Such a strategy definitely w not work for ordinary ppl including myself, and w tend to land one into trouble most of d time. Unless, he/she has d power to dictate d market. It's definitely not me.

Unlike those ppl in other advance countries like US where one needs to plan for his/her retirement savings via d 401K Plan, they need to pursue it ON THEIR OWN initiative in a very disciplined manner. We Malaysians, r kinda lucky tht we hv a law under EPF to help discipline us to invest consistently thru monthly deductions from our paychecks.

@overmydeadbody, I mean dun u believe its true? Now, they may b a 2.60 costed buyer. If they consistently invest in Karex over a longer period of time and with more bonus issues to come, they eventually w become a lower costed buyer. I always upheld Warren Buffet's principle of being a value investor. It's like putting yr money away in a savings account in a disciplined manner. That way, one w enjoy his/her investment journey without any stress.

I'm very sure most had off loaded Karex in early Feb 2016 due to d 1.20 price correction. As long as I know d company is well managed and has a solid growth trajectory moving fwd, I dun care abt all d noises being made here.

I started investing in Karex since its IPO. My average buy price is 1.13 after adjusted for d 3 bonus issues.

For d benefit of those who r rather confused and worried abt wat has transpired here most part of today, d message is very clear: DO NOT TOUCH KAREX UNLESS U HV THE CAPACITY TO PICK IT UP AND TO WITHSTAND ITS VOLATILITY. For as long as u can do so, there is nothing to worry abt INVESTING AND NOT SPECULATING in Karex. Such ability will allow u to sleep soundly every nite when invested in Karex. Karex is indeed a good stock with strong fundamentals and do not get hurt by it INDIRECTLY.

But, tis is not the case with Karex. Karex has been pursuing capacity expansion through building additional production lines and acquisitions of Global Protection and TheyFit. The additional production output capacity has already found its potential customers even before the condoms become finished products. And yet, at the current level of production capacity, it is still insufficient to meet growing demands. Karex's growth trajectory still remains very much intact. So, if u sell blindly, u r the ones who w be losing out ultimately. The choice is yours, u decide.

I believe the sell calls made on Karex recently were motivated by those who tried to create some confusion linking it to Hartalega's downgrade. Do not b fooled by those opportunistic ppl hoping to buy into Karex cheaply. Though Karex and Hartalega r both in the rubber sector, their products r quite different in nature i.e. condoms and synthetic gloves respectively. Apart from the common setbacks currently besieging other stocks in d rubber sector, Hartalega's downgrade is primarily due to it not securing sufficient orders to mop up d higher production output capacity. Hence, tht necessitated them to slow down production and has affected its growth trajectory moving forward.

Based on management's guidance during d EGM recently, Karex's financial performance w b improved during 2H 2016 due to contributions from increased capacity expansion implemented. Why is it so tht ppl r saying its d opposite now? Who r these ppl?

@Paperplane2016, if OWG restaurants' food quality is of according to yr pui standard, do u think Genting Resort is so stupid to allow OWG to continue operating there for OWG to generate 80% of its revenue from the resort year in, year out? If u want to b a credible food critic or of anything else, u need to substantiate it with solid evidence. Otherwise, u r just like another mad dog barking away crazily only to b ignored by d masses.

In my view, OWG is a quality f & b stock w exciting growth prospects in d near future. The company is well managed and yr investment in it w grow exponentially over time as I always emphasized on value investing and, NOT speculative trading. You w know wat I mean if u stay invested in OWG until end-2017. FYI, since OWG's IPO listing on 18 Dec 2014 until 31 Mar 2016, its share value has grown by 227% within a period of less than 1.5 yrs!!! Wat other investments cud possibly beat tht. Decision is yours and I'm truly happy if u cud make money for yrself. All d best.

@paperplane2016, I hv read and followed how nasty u got w another investor/trader in another forum recently. From the tone of it, I know well both of u r fund managers trying to out-do one another. Watever it is, do not try to 'pour cold water' here hoping to buy-in and collect more OWG shares cheaply. I believe it is not ethical to adopt scare tactics on other weaker mkt participants in order to make money. Eventually, I hope other readers/investors r able to differentiate between those who r genuinely out to help others and those who r out to purposely deceive/intimidate others.

Welcome, Tan & Appleby. I often see ppl writing stuffs here implying they can out-smart or beat d mkt. Let me remind them this: unless u r someone who can influence d mkt in a big way, u r considered a small fish. The best way for small fishes, including myself to invest our hard earned money is to adopt value investing. Value investing requires us to take a medium-to-long term view of a well-researched and quality stock. And, I'm pretty sure everyone knows tht Karex is indeed a quality stock. To those who think they can make money by getting in and out of d mkt frequently, they w eventually find out they r d real losers in d long run.

I'm giving my sharing of investing experience especially to those young investors as they hv a longer road to travel in life. Im not so lucky in my earlier days to hv someone to give me such sharing of experience.

Just invest in Karex WITH CONFIDENCE and u w not regret it. U w definitely see d stark difference if u adopt value investing in Karex from today. Happy investing.

Thts why I hv emphasized earlier tht only thru Karex's bonus issuances since it went public since Nov 2013 can give us such compounding effects to grow our investment by such a staggering magnitude within a timeline of 3 yrs.

Had one been patient and consistently been investing in Karex since its IPO until now, its returns on investment is almost 400%. Ask yrselves wat cud possibly beat it.

Many ppl r just very impatient and wanting to make money fast without properly understanding Karex's biz model. They must first of all, need to understand tht growth in anything must take time. Therefore for Karex's value to increase, time is needed obviously. And to make money from investment in Karex, patience is needed.

@nickkong, with additional bonus shares obtained, u w stand to gain more from its compounding effect when the price goes back up to 3.96 later. Imagine u hv 20,000 shares @ 3.96 initially. With d bonus issue, u will hv 30,000 shares now. If u invest middle to long term, I'm confident it w go back up to 3.96. By then, yr investment wud be worth 30,000 shares @ 3.96. Do d math yrself.

@Angeline Lew, wat it really means in simple term is:- it's d same when u buy 3,000 shares @ today's price as compared w 2,000 shares @ yesterday's price. At today's price, d share has gone ex-bonus (exclusive bonus) vs yesterday's (inclusive bonus). Hope tis clarifies.

@sesatn00b, tht's correct. Only then can we benefit from its compounding effect. We need to be disciplined to save and invest long term to see its value grow exponentially like how all Malaysians see their EPF savings grow over the years. Same principle applies here.

Currency rates go up and down all d time. If we take a longer term horizon of our investment in Karex, there is nothing to worry abt currency rate fluctuations. Dun b intimidated by mkt speculators who r out to frighten those unseasoned investors.
