The shocking truth is the CEO and the director did not own a single share in Netx in their name until recently.
It would appear to me that the investment banker who did the prospectus advised them, "hey, it is not nice to raise funds for the company when you don't even own a single share." Perhaps just to look good, they each bought RM 10,000 worth of NetX shares so that these can add a few more paragraphs to the proposal.
My advice is not to have any investment in this stock which the CEO or the director do not have any meaningful ownership in the company. The reasons are obvious.

It maybe difficult for the whiners, moaners and groaners but it makes the most sense for them to check their emotions at the front door.
Focus on long-term goals in this period of market uncertainties. While it may not be easy, it makes the most sense to check your emotions at the front door.
Turmoil can often lead to opportunity.

I have a problem with the penny stocks I bought over the many years. Many lost theier penny status and become muti-ringgit per share stocks. :-)
So it is not correct I do not own penny stocks.

The CEO of NetX was previously an investment banker raising funds for start ups. He is just doing the same thing, except in listed companies that he is involved in. So far, he is very successful in raising funds (but I am worried if the investors into these funds actually study his projects in detail) but has very little to show, if any.
As an investor, you will not wish to be involved with start-ups. Many fail, only a small number actually succeed. If you are a venture capitalist, please declare and do so. If you think you are investing, when you are actually speculating or not knowing what you are doing, be careful. Do not be misled by the 3 idiots (calvin, raider and strongcows) who actually are only interested in getting out of their mistakes through selling to suckers at higher prices.

It is so important to stay with Great companies. Even if you have bought these expensive, over the long run, you will usually do fine.
OTOH, buying gruesome companies, like NETX, you will be dealing with one heart ache after another. Those realising their mistakes should know what to do.
A company that is running losses every year and having huge negative FCF every year cannot be a good business. Misleading the readers on its cash is so evil indeed. To recant, there are many companies with huge cash reserves but having very poor businesses, they are all trading appropriately at very low price to their asset values.

Don't get emotional.
Padini has a very strong balance sheet. Its dividend payments can be sustained. If the price drops lower, and it can, you should know what you have to do. Do not lose sleep over this.
