Flat Steel are use for industrial purpose, like car manunfacturing, electrical product..etc, while long steel is for construction and property.

pang72, GST is work as below:-

Input tax = Tax that you incurred when you buy from supplier

Output tax = Tax that you collected from customer when you sell to customer

GST payable to government = Output tax - Input tax

For POS malaysia, as it is service industry, I don't think they have much Input Tax to claim (i.e. their major cost are salary, petrol, toll..etc), which is GST exempted, so I believe most of the GST they collected from customer have to pay to government, nothing much to claim.

pang72, no lah, GST is collect from customer, and pay to Government.

So this 6% will increase Government profit, not POS profit.

On the other hand, it may affect POS business, as consumer may switch to other way instead of using POS.

So as a shareholder of CSCSTEEL, we shouldn't influence by other, we can't just simply let go our share just because someone announce he is buying it.

For example, many old investor hate SOROS, because they think he is the one who caused the Asia financial crisis in 1997/98. So if today SOROS buy CSCSTEEL, should you sell your CSCSTEEL, just because markets said SOROS is a bad guy, he caused many investor lost their life time saving.

Not selling the highway perhaps is a good thing for SILK.
Currently, it highway business provide steady positive cash flow, as its highway debt payment is very small amount only (although the debt is high, but the payment is very minimal only).
Cold eyes always said:- "Cash flow is very important for a organisation, many business went bankrupt not because their business is good, or because they are making losses, the real course that make an business went bankrupt is CASH FLOW, without cash flow, company cannot pay rental, cannot pay salary.. and this will cause the business went bankrupt.

Therefore, with the steady positive cash flow from SILK highway, now at least we can assure that SILK will have strong cash flow to overcome the losses it suffer from its O&G business. We hope O&G can recover in next few years, Petronas can increase its capex in next few years, the SILK will fly high again.

A lot of ppl think think steel stock is over bought, because they look at the lowest price and current price.
This is incorrect, because all steel stock has been drop from its normal level to lowest since 4-5 years ago. Now the industry cycle come d, the price just start climb back to its normal level. And it is still has a far journey to go.
This situation is like in year 2008-09, when Maybank drop to RM2-3, when IT climb toRM5-6, many ppl sold it. They think 100% return in few month is ridiculous, overbought d.

Therefore, we can safely invest in SSTEEL, because it wont incurred any loss in future.
Next quarter EPS should be around 7-9 sen, FY17 EPS should be 28-36 sen.
Target price is RM2.80 in 6 months times.

after reading its quarterly report for 3 times, I'm very sure that it has write off everything relates to the investment on the HRC Plant.
Below is the paragraph stated in the quarterly report:-
"Pending the outcome of SHRC's claim against Danieli in the arbitration, an amount of RM141 million (Represent the TOTAL CAPITALISED DIRECT ATTRIBUTABLE COST in commissioning the plant and the CAPITALISED BORROWING COSTS incurred for the plant) was written off and is included in the financial statement"

Good time to collect SILK.
Although the disposal plan aborted, but SILK still a company that own many good assets.
Its SILK Highway provide him a steady cash flow, and this cash flow able to help him to overcome the challenge environment of its O&G business.
1-2 years later, when other O&G player has been knock-out (because they have cash flow problem), then SILK will emerge itself as the big player in O&G.

It always like that, after u sold then only it will fly.
So buy can buy, but don't buy a lot, diversify your money to other counter.

KYY is very smart, he stop the investor from buying other steel player, he try to direct all investor to buy CSCSTEEL only.

OTB earn RM196k for 3 months from a single customer,no bad.

For me, Southern Steel is the best. After the company write off all the investment on the new machinery, the company is clean now. Next quarter profit at least 9 sen.
