Haha, i realised Chairman shocked when one shareholder ask what values can he bring to the company as Chairman of company.

I am not happy with some of their reply but most of the answer i am ok with it.

I think there is some disagreement between the mgmt and auditor which lead to the change of audit partner and even the resignation of audit committee chairman.

But in term of operation wise, i think the FFB harvested will still be on decreasing trend due to labor shortage. Won't have exponential growth in profit but maybe constant profit in the future if the CPO price is maintain above 3k.

For me, i will consider the CPO price trend to evaluate whether to continue with Bplant or leave it.

Thats why many ppl above simply comment than Bplant should be privatize. Why another company want to buy a company when they are not producing well. Unless they just want to buy the company and sell away the land?

Do not expect to have satisfy answer during this AGM. I heard so many boss just pick question that they want to listen and hard one just say will reply through company website.

The yield for 25 year and above is not good and subject to many disease. Old man more easier subject to disease as compared with young ppl. @tang khangseng : Good discussion point. There is still alternative to shortage labour which is more automation on collection of fruits.
For ex: They can have excavator to collect the fruits. Hence, no need so many mandur/ fruit collector. Maybe have drone to spread fertilisers. Maybe they can install self watering system. To be honest, they don't really need to many labor at mill and most of labor needed at estate.

You can have high selling price, but do expect to have higher cost too. Most of the planters in Malaysia is lack of workers to collect the fruits. Don't forget their union agreement signed by the planters and those workers union too.

Plantation business is not as easy as you think of. cpo price now is high but you see the FFB yield. It is decreasing. Means CPO price is higher but they don't have more fruits to sell to get a good price.
They will be profitable but not super profit.
