HY is using FIFO approach on the inventory.
Q3 inventory gain should be around $30m.

$2.64 * approximately 11millions barrel of crude purchased in Q3.

Look at Q3 report.
"As a result, gross profits for the quarter ended 30 September 2017 were supported by strong
refining margins due to the above-mentioned unexpected production outages in the global market,
and a gradual recovery of traded crude prices resulting in a stockholding gain of $2.64 per barrel.
Refining margins for the similar quarter last year were significantly lower, whilst stockholding gain
was recorded at USD0.76 per barrel."

But, for this question.
I did a research before.
There is a fixed premium of 31.73 cents for Mogas 95 by government.
This includes oil company and retailer profit margin.
I monitored this quiet some time, quite accurate.

As for diesel, there is a fixed premium of 22.75 cents.
But, I don't verify this.

Crude price around 68 in April.
Mogas 92 APR 2018 - 76.664
Mogas 92 Crack Spread APR 2018 - 8.412

76.664 - 68 = 8.664 which is close to 8.412

I think the crack spread assume 100% of crude converted to Mogas 92.
In reality, crude is converted to Mogas and diesel. And Malaysia only sell Mogas 95, 97 and diesel.
This is not a buy call, I may be wrong in the assumption.

I don't look at Mogas 92, I look at Mogas 95. Since Malaysia only sell Ron 95 and Ron 97.
I assume majority of HY production will be Mogas 95 and diesel.

I use 3:2:1 Crack Spread.

Based on last quarter gross profit margin, it is wiser to allocate a roughly 20% error in the calculation. Of cause, this is rough figure only. I may be wrong too. So good luck to all.
