Completion of privatization, LTAT and Boustead will own 51% and KLK 49%. As we are all aware, there are less restrictions to restructure being a private entity. For many of us who have had a romanticism with BPlant, don't despair. They will certainly "relist" it in the near future and "unlock value" the company after some surgical reconstruction. Plenty of money to be made to "unlocking value" After all BPlant has a pedigree dating back to more than a hundred years.

Fund charges fixed management fees. Fund managers draw obscene salaries and perks. They have access to briefings and "inside information". Do they take responsibility when a Fund failed?

Some sites reported intrinsic value at 1.02. Average peer PE 18.2. Therefore Price = 6.64 * 18.2 = 120.8 sen.

AmInvest in Feb '23 said fair value 3.20. HLInvest reported in December 22, neutral at 3.00.

IPO price 1.35 is 36x adjusted profits for 2021. Peer PE 25. Earnings 2.68 sen. Therefore 2.68 * 25 = 67 sen. NTA is 34 sen. So how?

It simply rubbished the The Edge's report. Did the reporter obtained credible informations for his article or he simply assembled "unverified information" gather from this forum and elsewhere? I stand corrected.

Is this UMA? Bursa is silent. BPlant is equally silent. Left with are speculations. If BPlant is such a value buy, the Predators would have long bought up it's shares on the cheap. Not now. Haha

I am inclined toward Maybank Insight on General Offer to take BPlant private if the Market Buzz is for real.

Unlikely LTAT will let go of BPlant and it's priceless land bank. It will be lost forever! Politically sensitive too. The only option will be to take it private. By that it can conduct it's business as usual and not tied down by listing rules.

Are we going to see volume turnover in the 50 millions like in 2020/2021?

Anything is possible. I may speculate the possibility of it being taken private cheaply.
Stripped, monetise assets and relist again at in a few years time.

Maybank joined in the fray. Opined hold. Upside potential likely capped at NTA.

Boustead Holdings and LTAT are substantial shareholders in BPlant, together they hold 69%. The remaining shareholders are small investors, most of them hold less than 1%. The records so far, the 2 major shareholders are generous to minority shareholders. We hope they will continue with their generosity.

All else are speculations for now? Balance on probabilities - Bplant has better potential of big cash returns.

Boustead Holdings and Pharmaniaga need money to do house cleaning. Who is going to pay dividends to the Veterans? Affin or BPlant?

The dividends and bonus shares I had received over the years are more than the value appreciation of the share itself. What captured my imaginations was it's a 100 years old company. The reported super prime land in its landbank must be valuable. ( I never expected it to cost so much now. I always remember a smallholder uncle I asked for advice on planting oil palm - only invest if you see value on the land). The arm forces is a vote bank. It cannot be ignored and big dividends are needed to keep its members happy. I may consider liquidation if the above 2 criteria are no longer valid. Simple thinking.
