BPlant was a decent GLC until someone decided to : BPlant signed a sale and purchase agreement with Dutaland Bhd back in October 2017 for the acquisition of 42 parcels of leasehold plantation land in the Labuk and Sugut districts in Sabah for RM750 million.

I have my own simple investment view on BPlant. No reason for me to stay out as I have held shares since it's relisting. I have shares bought at 0.25 sen - 1.60. What transformation? Does it mean the company has plans to grow its plantation businesses organically? I don't see any. Monetise it's assets to project growth - yes maybe. Milking the cow - probably.

What does it mean? Nothing! Absolutely nothing.

i suspect the mess in LTAT and the Boustead cauldron is very messy, massive industrial scale mess. (while it may not be relevant in this thread, remeber there's also a pharmaniaga!)

Ultimately EPF & PNB will own MBSB 70% , the two of them will crave for high dividends? Should be for better times ahead. 😁

MBSB issued new shares priced at 0.9652 per share to PNB for the entire purchase of MIDF.

I have never seen such trades on BPlant shares since it was relisted! It started in May. Pushed price up to 0.79. Dumped down to 0.68 and announced a sen dividend. Further dumping down to 0.64 before it make a complete turnaround in less than 24 hours! Unusual times. I am holding onto my shareholding very tightly.

Trading at PE 10.13. Assume sector PE 11.3, the share price will be 6.42 * 11.2 = 0.72. Known issues like MIDF are factored.

BPlant has always announce giving dividend on the 3rd week of May. The share price is creeping up. Is it an indication of another good interim dividend?

The whole business appears dodgy. More questions than answers. Red flags keep popping up.

700 million to take it private is sup sup sui. Repackage (nicely put it as unlock value) and relist in a short few years will create more money. take a look at some of the listings. SImeprop. Malakoff. BPlant. What else?

Looking at the trend, forsaking 3.3 sen may yield "10 Sen dividend".

Selling on the Ex-Dividend Date

In order to receive a dividend, shareholders must hold the stock when the market opens on the ex-dividend date. They can still sell their shares on the ex-dividend date and receive the dividend. However, any investor who buys shares on the ex-dividend date will not.

I have held BPlant since it's relisting. Tomorrow ex date dividend 3.3 Sen. The share price always drop substantially after ex and will go up on the next dividend, lower than the last. Contemplating a gamble to clear my position forsaking the dividend and hopeful to buy them back low. Hard decision especially with the corporate restructuring of Boustead.

The people buying up the shares must have funds, access to funds or leverage on funds to the tune of hundreds of millions or billions!

This is a big game. Huge volume of shares transacted. Who are the owners of these shares? It's more than just termination on some business contracts!

I am watching. Every crisis there's an opportunity.

Bought BPlant 1000 shares at 1.60 when relisted. Initial investment 1600.00.

Bonus share issue 2:5 in April 2018. 1000 shares entitled to 714 new shares. So total shares held 1,714.

Cumulative dividends received 2014 - 2017 was 53sen. 1000 shares held equals to 530.00

Cumulative dividends received 2018 - 2022 was 24 Sen. 1714 share held equals 411.00

Assume 1714 Shares disposed at 0.88 Sen equals 1508.00

1508 + 520 + 411 = 2449

849 gain for a 1600 invest over 8 years.

Things may change if there is a change in the management structure.

Gamuda is no ah Beng company. They made the proposal. They know what they are doing. Don't have to worry. Buy if you have confidence. Only obstacle is politics! Otherwise there are another 1000 companies you can put your money.

I wouldn't rate this company anything more than the price of it's Listing Status. Unless of course if you like to do your trades like a Casino game. Go ahead. You manage your own risks!

It would have been much better to find out more about the activities of the company than to spew nonsense and make silly assumptions!

Observation over many years and had made money from this counter. Collect at 40 sen and below. Little to no trades during normal times. Must have holding power. Can play 2 times a year. Likely to make 400% in a year if not greedy.
