Exactly. Sell down is justifiable if LH farm is affected. If otherwise, bird flu sentiment will spur their business as more consumers will rather pay more for safer packed products. At the end of the day ppl still will buy chicken and eggs. Personally I will sell only if either LH farm is affected or bird flu situation is getting worst. I have confident the price will easily go up much more than the current level.

I only will cut loss if bird flu goes uncontrollable. Only one or two cases is nothing. Just monitor the situation closely and make decision. Currently it's oversold and risk of going down is low.

Previously plantation use mostly workers from Indonesians. But its hard to get them nowadays due to apently of plantation work opportunity in their home country. 80% of the workforce consist of foreign labour. Nepalese are the 3rd largest and growing source of foreign worker for oil palm after Indonesian and Bangladeshi. This may give significant impact to the sector which is already slim in its workforce coupled with the high production months where stable workforce is crucial. Govt really have to tackle this issue seriously.
