Harta first IPO was dated back on 2008 and was oversubscribed at that time, you must be way before any of the early bird shareholders of the company purchased the shares on 2007, must be a typing error. Nevertheless, I agreed with you now is the best lowest price to grab the shares...probably more lower in the coming days. For me, at this moment red across the board, I am just sstisfied with my tabung melabur for now, definitely no no on topping up on any shares.

EarnAmeal, Im just the ordinary man on the street that enjoy my daily plate of nasilemak with a cup of coffee. How do I felt in 2016 on harta shares, gosh that was long time ago. I only remembered my plate of nasi campur price by weight at the street of paris, duck rice at London and a pc of delicious shaumrollen in Vienna during that year. Frankly, i never top up on harta shares since my first purchase, along the years came the dividends  and couple of bonus issues, thats it up to now. The up and down on the prices during all those years, Im just the same as you guys a big hooray during the up and big sigh during the down no. In the end of the day, this fermented chicken shares stays fermented in my chicken jar of my tabung melabur, lol.....and as of today i am still the same man on the street enjoying my nasilemak and coffee, difference probably on a bangku and a big umbrella since we get banjir every now and then with hot sun as well....again crossed my finger and pray to the mighty bigG up there that there isnt a need to queue up at Yayasan Hartalega when this fermented chicken clear up part of my tabung melabur, lol .....it is interesting to read all the comments/advice from all the intelligent investors here, learn a lot and still learning, agree to disagree.

N guys, i bought the harta shares ages ago, not during the pandemic and all those years i have been receiving consistent good return without fail. The no is definitely rolling down now but what else is new during this economic downturn, all numbers are red across the board. The importance here is the majority stake of the co is held by the kuans who are holding the flag of the co which i trust they will be able to steer the company during this tough period of everything goin downhilll. Gloves is one of the indispensable products in the healthcare system and i always believe in the survivor of the fittest which should be among the top four, my bet is on harta.

Each of you guys here are actually giving out sensible comments/advice on the ongoing now with harta stocks.  Not denying I am just a small potato in share investment, not putting all my harta in shares. My small investment is only for long term and based on the principle of investing in a stable company that is not restricted just by increasing my value of investment but also working towards contributing to society plus proper good governance and business ethic. Harta is basically a family business that established since 1988 and the pioneer in manufacturing gloves. The company focuses on organic growth and up todate still expanding with the latest land purchased in Kedah, creating more jobs for the local community, win win situation for all. Sensibly, the Kuans will not run during bad times since they have never run out from their employees while establishing the company during tough time in the early days, instead they were rewarding their employees with good bonuses (little birdie told me so, LOL) Looking at the no rolling down is saddening. Still my bet is on the Kuans to weather through this tough period of escalating cost, lower asp etc and continue giving us consistent good return in the future. Im not the big money maker like you guys, just a small potato hoping for small stable return from a small investment in a stable company.

Still put my trust on the kuans, keep my finger crossed.  Hopefully in the coming days, the management will be touching more on the lives of the shareholders, investing their "blood and sweat" money into the company and not grounded us 6ft down under. We are reaching 3ft now, dear me.

Despite the negative news out there on the glove sector, small potato me still holding on to this fermented chicken stock for long term investment due to their principle of good commitment to ESG and great financial background.

Most of us are in Lost World of Tambun or shall we say Timbuktu nowaday. Look at our currency, goin down (income/saving loss)....even our very basic chicken stock, goin down (chicken run....out, business loss)......paper loss in share market nowaday?....look at the board mostly red, look at the no 1600 plus down to 1400 plus now.....what else is new during this global downturn .....the main focus here is how much harta you put in your potfolios which i assumed for harta investors, you guys are pretty good in maneuvering around with your portfolios short term with long term investors already gained much during all this time...sadness heartache along the way, yes looking at the number goin down nowaday but surely u intelligent investors out there r not putting all your harta in hartalega but still holding on with hartalega still kicking and alive  ...life still goes on and we just wait for the cyclical effects take place as we all know gloves are still much needed 24/7 out there, pandemic or no pandemic

Lots of comparison number crunching (headache), lots of related news (confusing), lot of predictions (crystal ball) ...in the end of the day it still goes back to fundamental, the company itself...everybody talk bout buy and sell short term, nobody talk bout long term and the real value of investment. Besides the desirable dividend, ESG is also considered as a "valuable assets" of a company. So far the company is solid as a rock diamond with no negative news except employee laughing all the way to the bank together with the shareholders during good time, donations/charity to the community, milions donated during the pandemic (Just hope this frozen chicken will not end up us queuing at Yayasan Hartalega instead, LOL) ......for those still holding this frozen chicken, think bout its contribution to the society the community on our behalf as the minority shareholders...we should be proud....coz in the end of the day there is nothing much one can do when you are stucked with a frozen chicken, buy also may get u bury alive, sell also will get u end up 6ft down under...LOL

To be a bit sarcastic looking at the number rolling down hill, one may need to queue up at Yayasan Hartalega. But still in the end of the day it still goes back to the fundamental of investing shares. Little birdie tell me the Kuan senior is a analytical businessman. I will just crossed my finger and see how the Kuans going to weather through this big thunderstorm.

Dont worry, look at the latest motto of the company. The management predicted, even in advance the condition of the market in the coming days and came out with the motto Grounded in Values, not 6ft underground. They even have the Yayasan set up where worst case scenario, i think i can still queue up for my food there.

Look at the "bright side", I can still queue up at Yayasan Hartalega if the number continue rolling down the hill. It is a good company with even their own employees laughing all the way to the bank during good times, we as the shareholders should give our full confident to the management.

When it comes to forced labour, it is difficult to judge who is right or wrong or if there is a conspiracy theory targeting only certain profit making industry because we are not in the shoes of all the parties involved. To me as a investor, i assume the manufacturers themselves should be operating according to all the requirements, laws and regulations with regards to the welfare of the workforce. Like the chinese saying as long as one walk properly, stand properly ..Andy Hall or no Andy Hall, no way one company can be accused of forced labour. I trust the company that i have invested my money and i hope im not wrong

Totally agreed with looiting, the government should gives their full support to the industry. The glove industry has contributed so much to the country, the economy the communities and workforce, donation after donation, charitable contribution and continuous job offers from top to bottom positions.

Many jump into the industry when news of making big bucks, humangous profits popping up among the top 4 and it seems like a easy peasy business for all. Venturing into the market is one thing but manufacturing the products is another issue. Producing gloves is not like producing donuts, QA is basically top of the list for every gloves manufacturer. Besides CBP ban, they may also face detention by the FDA for products not meeting the standard requirements. I dont know the quality of the gloves produced by China but malaysia is still the top in term of producing the best quality gloves in the world. I have full confident with the malaysia top 4 gloves manufacturers but no comments on those newbies and hope they will safeguard their position in the world ranking, stop giving those activists the opportunity to accuse them on forced labour.

The government should look into the legitimacy of the claims by these foreign activists and if it is indeed true, they should take the appropriate actions against these companies but if it is an inaccurate reporting or false accusation, the government should do the necessary to protect the industry. At the same time these companies should know well their responsibility over their workers and if the issue still prolonged, there must be something wrong with the management and they are not only answerable to the authorities but also the minority shareholders. The neverending labour issue on the industry will just continually affect the price of the shares and the management should know well the importance of resolving the problem once and for all.

Anxious, good for you. I believe everybody have their own way of investing their hard earned money within their limit, wise enough to make the right decision to buy and sell when the right time come. Like jolynce and bang miskin said we win some and we may lose some, it is investment with risk afterall. Rome wasn't built in a day...you may recoup back your losses in times to come.

"Polar bear, greedy, not clever investors" are part of the risk takers who invest their hard earned money hopefully to get some returns bonus dividend. Investors are all intelligent enough to maneuvre their investment day in day out. Up and down of the share price are not within our control but the main point here Harta is a fundamentally strong company. We just hope the management will be able to ensure us the shareholders that they are worth our investment in long term, grounded in values (their new motto) and not 6ft down underground

It is not easy to start a new gloves factory. They have a strict product QA that need to pass through the relevant authority like the US FDA and if there are any irregularities which includes company involved with labor issues (the hot topic among all the industries now), shipment will be detained at the port...and there goes the stock value turning red like the recent issues with Supermax. All these newbies are venturing into the "Musang king" era, with lots of new tomdicknharry...but the fight now is on the "Blackthorn" era, the fittest is the survival automation innovation...and even the fittest now are facing problem left right top bottom, asp down lower margin over supply tax internal/external labour issues endemic/pandemic and yet to account the political situation in the country which more or less affecting the share market... rainbow is surely far beyond reach in days to come

They are building a nitrile butadiene plant, raw material for the production of nitrile gloves and just started a glove factory with just 6 production lines, Hong Seng Gloves Sdn Bhd. With the current market situation and ongoing obstacles in the gloves industries : tax, neverending story on the labour issue popping up every now and then and yet to account the pandemic/endemic situation, the importance of esg csr that need to be adhered 24/7....doubt there will be rainbow up the sky in the whole industry in days to come, instead thunder and lightning are surely heading towards them, the oldies and newbies players. Will just wait and see how much grounded in values is Hartalega, weather through the thunderstorm.

With frontpage news employees laughing all the way to the bank, all sorts of activities and celebrations for workers both locals and foreigners with first class facilities factory, i dont think the company mistreat their workers locals or foreigners...it will be a big surprise if the US authority goin to take action against the company over forced labour...

To be fair and not being bias when you are looking at the treatment of workers, foreigners and locals in Hartalega...just look at their facebook says it all.
