Dearly me...comparing mask and condom with medical gloves.... the manufacturing process must be exactly the same in that case, easy peasy like the doughnut business. Besides the correct method of the whole tedious production process, the end products are subjected to FDA approval in the US and the relevant authorities in each country. The whole container may get detained at the port upon failure passing the neccesary testing. Now ESG comes into place, great emphasize on labour issue, another requirement to be strictly met by the manufacturers. Therefore the government involvement on this aspect is much needed. Not many tomdicknharry can handle the business of manufacturing gloves, that is why we can see the exits of those new players. The fate the future of the gloves business, being one of the biggest contributer to the country revenue, is much to be seen with lots of possibility and uncertainties ahead them. New players are lots, China US with the same obstacles of cost hike labour issue in their very own country but surviving the business long term, well we will just need to wait and see. And by the way guys, number zooming down is beyond anybody control, it is the share market afterall .....wealth depleted due to harta shares, lol...yes those shareholders and bosses must be slowly turning to beggar on the street soon.

Truly agreed...when it comes to global supply demand, competition and cost hike, there is nothing much the company can do except adapt to changes in the market scenario and come out with the strategic plan to overcome every big hurdles ahead them. My trust still remain on the management in steering the company towards the right path during this difficult period.

We just cannot have it all afterall...i hope the government will understand the predicament the industry is facing now at this moment, for one at least try to expedite the foreign workers recruitment in the industry. It is afterall contributing so much to the country revenue in the past till as of todate.

N guys the big chunk in my retirement fund is a one off amount derived from selling during those peak price...just to be clear otherwise i may mislead anybody here again on the gain in harta shares.

But..shrobin...my portfolio is full so far with adequate harta shares in hand...definitely no spare bullets to buy more....will just see how low the price will continue to drop in the coming days

True...harta is a win win for all...good returns to the shareholders (frankly a big chunk to my retirement fund), contribute to the country revenue and community/society as well, continue creating jobs for the younger generations and during the pandemic together with the big top 3, donated millions of gloves to the gov. Saddening though...pity those 4 top gloves manufacturers millions donated during pandemic plus the windfall tax to the gov, yayasan hartalega contribution to the community, thousands of jobs provided by hartalega to the younger generation, called me a moment of being sentimental, I am happy looking at those happy young faces of 3 races including the foreigners working in such a good environment company. Now they are called laosai kings, goin down to hollands despite company still making money, of course not as superb during the pandemic period when everybody laughing all the way to the bank.

You guys are talking as if harta is the only one stand alone company that faces problem during economy downturn. Supply demand cost hike labor issues are the headaches for all the industries worldwide, even the mighty big China. Harta is no newbies in handling all these problems, it is all bout surviving the downturn and face head on the ongoing competition. My bet still on Harta though not down to my last underwear...lol just within my investment fund lol....

Off from KLCI, noted. Labour issue with Brightway, court case noted...by the way what is it to do with Hartalega. The main point here, is Harta off the map of the glove industry when it is assumed to be off the KLCI soon??? Is Harta profit down to RM1 like the predicted share price as quoted by you guys out there. Peak price of RM20s is a extraordinary time making gigantic profit during the occurance of the pandemic for the first time for both harta and the shareholders. During IPO, the company operate as usual, went through the up and down of operation cost hike along the years then move to peak time and then down as of today, same as all the industries struggling during economy downturn. We are talking bout across the board here in the share market, red most of the days, no big winners for all. Shareholders favor good  fundamental long financially stable company with a great management behind it. Harta has proven well its performance since its inception in 1988 even before the IPO up to now with good balance sheet and return to investors. To be able to withstand and overcome the big hurdles now, i will just leave it to the intelligent investors out there on their decision of investing their hard earned cash.

Great, we have another sensible investor here Medusa in our discussion,  agree to disagree in the forum now.  Like  I said, shareholders and harta bosses are no nincoompoop in their decision making during this bad market condition. No doubt we all know the market is down, lower asp with supply more than demand. We are talking bout the economies of scale concentrating on one major location. During this difficult period, of course those small factories will be closed to save cost,  transfer the much needed fund to operate the main major location. The management is no deadlog, when the going gets tough, the tough gets goin....apply to shareholder as well. Whether it is a temporary closed down or not, we may just pose the question in the coming AGM.

No comparison when it comes to china mass production, quality wise is also another consideration to look into ...please keep in mind supply and demand work hand in hand...US is one of the biggest market, look at the trade between China and US, the ongoing in Taiwan, how stable the trade between these two major big powers so far. We are weighing in lots of uncertainties lots of possibilties lots of opportunities here...time will tell. A very long time indeed looking at the condition of the market now. I trust harta is ready for all these in the coming days, surviving the hardship and maintaining its position in the market.

Yup..those investors only look at their every quarter dividend including the latest humangous amount in their account during all those years of investment  plus the bonus shares plus the extraordinary shares profit made during the peak of RM20 plus, it is indeed a saddening journey for all the investors all those years.

It is I Me Myself shares portfolio. In the end of the day I am looking at the total value of my diversified investment fund, still as good as before with harta still kicking and alive, dividend received consistently since day one.

Dearly me, what makes you think shareholder not selling at RM20 plus during peak time. Otherwise manouvering the figures of the portfolio will not exist in each long term shareholders vocabulary.  Long term shareholders are no deadlog, otherwise they wont called themselves as long term investors investing their hard earned cash in a shares portfolio for long term accumulation of wealth.  Cut off losses is when the company goin down under with no fundamental good financial background, not able to survive at all during the market bad times.... is there any news harta closing shop or harta is the one and only company suffering during the overall bad economy. It is red across the board every now and then in the shares market, it is either you retired from investing shares, looking at the devaluation of our saving with our currency continue rolling downhill or  stay invested, hoping at least  maintain our value of wealth in the coming days.

Couple of cents dividend every quarter or worst case scenario yearly, lama lama jadi bukit. Intelligent investors out there no dead log, shares are and up to investors to manouvre around the figures. Why not invest/stay invest in Harta as it is still part of a respected darling stock of the investors' portfolio with lots of possible positive outcome in the future. Setting a glove business is no tomdicknharry job, you can see the exits of those new players. As for the market shares seized by the china players, with the big global powers infighting/wars..time will tell in competition wise. The up and down in supply demand, it is a disposable essential healthcare product with ongoing needs globally continuously. Fittest of the survival, guys...ready to roll in full speed when the time come in the coming days...probably long but still worth the wait, stay invested in the shares. There is no guarantee in share investment, we can only bet (not like god of gambler though, lol) based on the fundamental, that is why we only invest within our tabung melabur, not down to our last underwear, lol.

I think intelligent investors out there are not all the sorts of FOMO, all in type...it still goes back to fundamental of investment. The fundamental of Harta is a open book,  year to year performance report with solid financial background. As for the coming days, companies all across the board globally are facing tough time weather through hardship of cost hike, esg, competition etc, not just Harta.  For me the small potato shareholder, the main point of my investment is long term sustainable return. Time will tell, survival of the fittest. I maybe wrong or otherwise, in the end of the day it is only my non god of gambler investment fund, not daily monitoring looking at the number greet bye bye to earth heart attack fund, lol. Day one 2008, passed through the norm, peak price and the low price now with cost of investment recovered long time ago. Not much affected by the up and down coz no god of gamblers like you guys making big bucks short term, lol.

Shares held since day one....up and down dividend bonus shares, this one respected darling shares has definitely contributes to my retirement fund so far. Even under such market condition, still surviving with dividend received as of to date, it is definitely a keeper in my long term investment portfolio. Being top spot in the industry of a essential healthcare product and staying resilient throughout the years, lots of possibility ahead with the global uncertainties, chances of war between china taiwan with the involvement of US in addition to the ukraine russia ongoing war, ongoing pandemic/endemic monkeypox etc.  Time will tell.

Along my years of investment in harta from 2008 up to now, dividends bonus issues full return on cost of investment long ago...I can said I trust my investment in the company is in good hand disregard the up and down on the share price as I am a long term investor.

The purchase of land in Kedah is for a new factory, not Perlis nor any jv. Whether harta will swing in full gear the plan for the new factory in Kedah in the near future, we will just wait for the update in the coming AGM. Needless to say an excellent management will just know how to manage well the interest of company in long term, otherwise the cash pile should be a gone case long time ago with harta not being among the top four in the industry.

Please keep in mind, trade war still exist between US and China, the issue between China Taiwan with the involvement of US...all these global uncertainties, alliances among the big powers, give ways to possibilities and opportunities. It still goes back to the survival of the fittest, will just wait and see.

EPF dumping shares every now and then just beyond anyone control...it is a share market afterall....will just wait and see in the coming days how the number continue to fluctuate...

Four days work....think this is a takoyaki business fresh made on the spot, on off the heat pan anytime you like...the bloody glove lines/machines are operating 24/7, otherwise there won't be billions of gloves produced in a year,  any re-start of the lines/machines involved advanced tedious preparation.  From production, packaging to shipment with delivery date commitment to customers, do you think the glove manufacturers can proceed with the implementation of 4 days work with harta started with it now? Which article confirming the arrangement or which birdie out there spreading such news, should tembak makan barbeque bird meat....lol

During good times,  shareholders had received quite an amount of dividends that some can even purchased a decent car or probably paid part of their mortgage with just one of the dividend payout. In addition, in the past years,  consistent dividend plus bonus shares were issued to shareholders as well. There is always a up and down in any businesses, the most important is the fundamental and how good the top in managing the business during economic downturn and fierce competition. Even us the ordinary man on the street holding tight to our cash during this uncertain period, what do you think for a big company who are holding not only the interest/hard earned cash of the thousands investors/shareholders but also the welfare of thousands workers under their management. As a investor, we will just need to leave it to the top on management decision making such as share buy back as it is just plain simple reason that we are not the one who run the company during good times and especially now, overcoming obstacles during bad times.
