Revaluation of properties caused a $18m surplus to the balance sheet and a 'paper' gain of nearly 30 sen per share.
Now the NTA is more accurately stated or marked to market at $0.63 a share, thereby causing today's sharp increase in price and volume

Australian Deputy Prime Minister Warren Truss admitted the hunt will take time, with the ocean bed in the prospective search zone several kilometres deep and largely unmapped, meaning specialist sonar equipment and other autonomous vehicles are needed.

Part of the problem is that the batteries to the beacons fitted onto the so-called "black box" cockpit voice recorder and flight data recorder – which are crucial in locating a plane and determining what caused it to crash – have died, making the search even more difficult.

The aircraft disappeared on March 8 with 239 people on board, and an intense search for the plane has been scaled back after coming up with nothing despite an air and sea hunt over 4.64 million square kilometres of the southern Indian Ocean.

Europe's aviation safety watchdog yesterday called for the transmission time of tracking beacons fitted onto black box flight recorders to be extended from 30 to 90 days, a reform that may have made it easier to find the missing Malaysia Airlines plane.

The Black Box must never ever fall into the hands of the conspirators who always cover up and twist facts.. If it does, then there will be a massive cover up of what actually happened in MH370. Its best UN takes over custody of the Black Box and copy the contents for safe keeping.

AJ is not resigning until he gets MAS soaring again. Yes you heard it right but this is nothing exceptional but the rule in Bolehland where Umno/BN politicians and their cronies all stay to make things after messing up the everything. No house cleaning but just business as usual. Responsibility and accountability are two 2 rare gems in Bolehland. Dignity, self respect and ethics are not cherished here because they don't buy you fancy bungalows, flashy cars, SYT, exotic holidays, branded clothes, shoes, accessories....all the "good" things in life.

WSJ reported that the delay in Putrajaya adopting a more decentralised approach could be an indication that the task may be too big for Malaysia to manage.
Some aviation experts, however, welcomed the latest development, saying Putrajaya is beginning to do what they should have been doing all along.
Singapore Management University Professor Bridget Welsh told WSJ that Malaysia needed to streamline its crisis management.

Amid allegations of incompetence and lack of direction, Putrajaya has begun to concede some control of the search for Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 to other nations.
The Wall Street Journal reported that several nations, such as India, Thailand, Japan and Indonesia had claimed they had ships and aircraft sitting idle, while waiting for instructions from Kuala Lumpur which has been overseeing the international search operation.
Instructions on how to proceed were "not very clear," WSJ quoted a senior South Korean military official in Seoul, which offered a P-3C and a C-130 transport plane to the search fleet, as saying.

We were fortunate that whoever was in command of the plane when MH370 turned back did not head towards Kuala Lumpur.
It will be too late for those to take action when all it needed was less than one hour to smash into the Kuala Lumpur City Centre (Twin Towers). Someone must be held responsible for sleeping on the job.

But he did not play my Liihen where I am one of the largest shareholders. If he does, then I will throw everything to him and switch to Hevea and Homeriz, hehe.

@cindylim, Kannibu just explained precisely my wariness on Lii Hen. CLARITY !!!
Posted by Kannibu > Feb 24, 2014 12:29 PM | Report Abuse
Hi ulutrader, among the pack, Latitud is indisputably the best here. Hevea has a high debt level overhang (nevertheless the management has done a good job in reducing this concern by almost $25m every year since 2010) while Liihen has a legal hot potato at hands, the outcome of which is unpredictable and can be devastating if the apex court ultimately ruled against Liihen.
Thus, Hevea is a much better buy than Liihen given the CLARITY among these two here.

2 different group talking aimlessly here. One group led by datukkung pro Liihen and another group said to be talking down Liihen.
My suggestion : Why don't you two settle for real in the stock market? Datukkung, you are pro Liihen, then you pump up the price. Fight the other group like a man. If they want to talk down the price, buy up all their Liihen shares.
Likewise, for the anti-Liihen group, sell to depress the price of Liihen to show Liihen is not as sound as what their book says.
We will see once for all the winner, instead of you two talking nonsense here.
I offer myself to be the umpire if you two dare to accept the challenge!
