They announced sold one piece of land for 17m. Book value was only 81k.

I read in company takeovers that when 33% shares owned by a party, general offer is triggered, how come dutaland did not give a general offer?

The reason price went down was due to delayed commissioning of their new lines of production end of last year.

Once resolved, production volume and sales increase, so will profits and share price

If a company is under attack , the boss (chong)will definitely need to emerge and defend. That is his job.

I did not say tpy is taking over prtasco, but he may want to do that with all his tricks under his sleeves and all his harborbed ill intentions, as you can see from what has been reported. He is taking a desperate chance to try to achieve that with some backing of individuals that is very much connected to him.

I do not see panic in prtasco boss, but seeing panic in tpy.
I see tpy is panic selling nexgram to buy bigger stake in prtasco before the egm on 28 nov, as perhaps he thinks he can convince the minorities with bigger stake

Tpy 's dealings with certain companies raises suspicion of his genuinity.
He is an impending large shareholder of MPCorp , which is a company with shady dealings and unreputable history. Is it his plan to save mpcorp after he wins over prtasco?
Chong is the founder of prtasco and started the company with humble beginnings until now a large entity. He is now defending and protecting his company's future

Although i agree with your BJCorp call but I beg to differ on this one !
Seems that the management is not a good one, short change minority here and there ...
Rights issues lah, lend money to co with high interest la, got money first pay the lending shareholder with 'credit card' interest !! High gearing with no visible profit which might bankrupt the company anytime soon !
Valuable lands/ assets mean nothing if the management is dishonest or incompetent and eventually screw them up !

Base on above info:

It is obvious the winner will be the major shareholders.
1) if liquidate, 26.3m goes to them
2) if no liquidate, they still get fat salary and director fees

It is reported in bursa today that they have sold their land and machinery at 22m with net profit 7.1m. The buyer has 3 months to conclude the sale from this month.
Wouldn't that be a great news ?

When you mention scary, is supposed to be positive or negative?

If good companies with capable people like liew kee sin come and takeover, then rhere's something to shout about.
But what is known is that many parties that this company tried to work with , were all either aprrehensive or were turned down .
So, this speaks for itself

Yes, i know the concept of buying a counter at its worst news.
But, this counter, would be different...most of the value of their landbank will have to pay up a large sum of monies that they owe to amanah.
Secondly, properties in iskandar has shown a slowdow.n. Even UEM is cutting bank on development, and announcing lower sales.
Thirdly, while an investor in mpcorp is hoping and waiting for a turnaround of luck in their shares, this company will continue with their rights calls, asking more money etc.
Fourthly, even if there is a jump in their share price, it would be shortlived as it is being played up or speculated by some parties.

This company's MD has been accused of fraud , so he passed the baton to his son, so that ignorant investors would not notice about its flaws.
This company has plenty issues and facing many material litigation.
Recently, another suspicious character, tey por yee, which is being sued big time by prtasco, bought a big portion of shares in this mpcorp.
So, beware
